Sapper's wk 8 Gameballs & Penalty Flags

Big XII Gameballs; Mizz's pass defense. Well actually the whole defense. They had Harrell flustered, off balance the whole game. Harrell was zipping his passes way to hard but not all the blame is on him. His receivers were having a bad day as well...more drops than T.O. in a season if you combine them all. Another bad pick on me & I should've stuck w/ Mizz. But after all year of parading Harrell I thought if he won here TTU & him were a serious team. BUT their schedule was weak up until Sat...thats the main reason I should've stuck w/ Mizz.

Big XII Penalty Flags; CU...hands down. Where was the team that beat OU? I'm reaching w/ that one...nevermind, should've known better when K St beat CU & K St lost to KU. ANOTHER bad pick on me. I think I was wishing more than anything w/ my picks this wknd.

OOC Gameball; Demetrius Byrd & Matt Flynn. That final second play was just incredible. It was something LSU had to do & IMO opinion another lucky day for Les Miles. His 5-5 4th down conversions a couple of weeks ago & then this pass & catch was just incredible. OOC penalty flags; Rich stole my thunder for giving one to Spurrier. I didn't see one second of that game...but I heard about it all wknd.
So my OOC Penalty flag goes to Tenn. I thought they stood a chance against Bama after taking down an overated GA at home. Basically the flag is on my self for taking Tenn as a pick. I should've realized...they SUCK on the road!!

Hamsters wk 9 Gameballs & Penalty Flags

I really hope OU takes their fall in the polls as a sign they have to go out and destroy every team they play. Well here we go with my game balls and penalty flags. Game Balls
1. John Parker Wilson-to-DJ Hall combination, Stats for each were just outstanding JPW- 32 of 46,363 yds, 3 TDDJH- 13 Receptions, 185 yds, 2 TD
2. I would say Florida for doing something LSU couldn't, but the wholeteam doesn't deserve the credit. Their Defense was torched and their offense was something like 75% Tebow. So the game ball has to go to Tim Tebow for getting his name back into the heisman talk and maybe they should think about getting him in on Def too.
3. Ray Rice and Rutgers for defending their home field. Thank god, cause if they didn't beat USF it really did not look like they would lose.
4. Kansas, for going into a hostile territory and leaving with theirundefeated record still in place.
Flags
1. Steve Spurrier, for doing everything he could do to make sure his team could not win the game. I was torn between giving Vandy the gameball and Spurrier the flag so I guess I will give some credit to Vandy, but Spurrier deserves most the blame on this one. Hope you didn't drinkto much Sean.
2. Cal, going from a last second FG from being the #1 team in the nationto 2 straight losses and falling completely out of the picture.
3. OU's offense, for letting a team that had no right to even be within 20 pts keep a game so close that OU dropped in the polls after a win.
4. Even though it did work the ends still do not justify the means. Even though the coaching staff may have seen a way of getting in the end zone all that they needed was to kick a FG and go home with the win. It just was not worth the risk and now that they have done it and it worked, they might be tempted to do something like that in the future and I hope it doesn't work. Just stupid coaching. I mean if I saw a way I could jump off a building and land without hurting my self I would not be stupid enough to risk it. As you can see that call really pisses me off, well here is to a greatweekend of CFB. Hope it continues.
